Meeting Place Gottsunda and Bäcklösa is run by Uppsalahem, and in the summer of 2025, we will open for the seventh year in a row for summer activities for children and young people. With the meeting places, we want to contribute to creating safety, community, and meaningful encounters through fun and open activities throughout the summer vacation. We are now looking for more hosts who want to help make the summer in Gottsunda and Bäcklösa extra fun!

Working as a host at the meeting places is an active, fast-paced, and fun summer job. Together with other hosts and 1-2 coordinators, you will work to ensure that Meeting Place Gottsunda is a welcoming, safe, and fun place for children and young people to visit. To thrive as a host, you should enjoy spending time with children aged 5-12 and like to take your own initiatives. You will have the opportunity to influence what we do at the meeting place, and if you have experience from associations, sports, or similar, it is a strength. The work is very varied, and some examples of activities you will hold and participate in include various sports (such as football, badminton, and tennis), games (such as water play, hide and seek, and kubb), and creative activities (such as face painting, crafts, and dance). The meeting places also collaborate with associations that regularly come to us. Some examples are Uppsala basketball, Gottsunda dance and theater, and the 4H farm. No prior knowledge is required for participation, which allows us to adapt activities to the participants.

We are looking for someone who:

• is currently enrolled in high school
• loves working with children
• is creative, playful, and engaged
• likes to work in a team

Recruitment process ahead

If you are interested in working as a host at the meeting places, you should mention this in your application and explain why you believe you would be a good fit for the job. If you progress in the process, you will be invited to a group interview. After that, you will receive feedback on whether you have been accepted and during which period you would work. For this job, a criminal record extract is required, which you will order yourself.

Scope: The meeting places are open from June 16 to August 16, and each host will be assigned at least one 3-week period. The periods will be divided into three periods: Period 1 (W. 25-27), Period 2 (W. 28-30), and Period 3 (W. 31-33). You can mention in your application which weeks you would be available to work. Working hours: Monday to Friday (11:45 AM - 6:15 PM) Location: Southern district
